Ambainu (W/R), June 11, GNA – Mr Anthony Nyamekye, the Acting General Manager of Adamus Resources Ltd, a Mining company in the Ellembelle District, has pledged the company’s readiness to stock the Ellembelle Food Bank with food items to make the facility stand the test of time.
He admitted that the novel initiative by the sitting Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to establish the Food Bank, needed the support of all corporate institutions, philanthropists and individuals to support the Food Bank to discharge its mandate of distributing raw food items to people beset with poverty in the District.
Mr Nyamekye made the call when he donated assorted raw food items to the Ellembelle Food Bank at Ambainu in the Western Region.
The items included;20 bags of Tombrown,20 bags of rice,20 boxes of cooking oil,10 boxes of canned fish and one big box of sugar worth GH¢10,000.
The General Manager assured Mr.Armah-Kofi Buah and executives at the Food Bank of the Company’s unwavering support to contribute to the agenda of fighting poverty and hunger in the area as the company’s corporate social responsibility.
The Chairman of the Food Bank and Chief of Ambainu, Nana Nyameke Fofole, who received the items on behalf of the bank, expressed gratitude to the company for the humanitarian gesture and promised to distribute it to poor indigenes in the District.
Nana Fofole appealed to other organizations and public spirited individuals both home and abroad to donate to the Ellembelle Food Bank.
