Accra, May 22, GNA – The Rebecca Foundation has collaborated with CBI Ghana Limited, producers of (SUPACEM) cement, to donate 1,000 bags of cement to the Hairdressers and Beauticians Association of Ghana to support the Association’s school building project.
At the 10th Annual Salon Academy in January, the Association appealed to the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, who is also the Executive Director of the Rebecca Foundation, to help it to build a hairdressing school at Ashalaja Denhyira, Greater Accra Region.
The school would help develop the skills of its members.
Mr. Richard Darko, the Press Aide to the First Lady, and Mr Frederick Albrecht, the Managing Director for CBI Ghana Limited, consequently, jointly presented the items to the Association at a short ceremony in Accra.
Mr Albrecht expressed his joy at the collaboration between CBI Ghana Limited and the Rebecca Foundation, saying, “I am glad to be part of this wonderful donation and I know it will go a long way to support this wonderful ambition to build a school for the future”.
Mrs Joyce Lamptey, National President of the Hairdressers and Beauticians Association, who received the items on behalf of the Association, thanked the First Lady and CBI Ghana for their kind gesture.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the First lady, Mrs. Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo- Addo and CBI Ghana Limited. I must say, we are truly grateful, and God richly bless you both,” she said.
