Akropong (W/R) May 26, GNA-The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has presented 200 bags of cement to flood victims in Nzema-Akropong.
The relief gesture followed a downpour, which led to many buildings submerging in the flood.
The gravity of the flood collapsed most of the buildings, thereby, rendering the victims homeless.
Donating to the affected victims, Mr Kofi Buah said the plight of the victims demanded swift response and action to assist them reconstruct their collapsed buildings.
The MP commiserated with the victims and pledged his unwavering support in such trying moments of displacement and donated nose
masks, a football, and a set of Jersey to the community.
The Assembly Member for the town, Mr Anthony Eshun who received the items on behalf of the community, expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely intervention.
He said the bags of cement would go a long way to alleviate the plight of the victims.
Mr Eshun appealed to the MP and District Assembly to find a lasting solution to the flood situation in the area.
