Gomoa East independent parliamentary candidate donates PPE to Nyanyano Traditional Council

Gomoa Nyanyano (C/R), May 8, GNA – Nana Agyemang, a businessman contesting the Gomoa East Parliamentary Seat as an independent candidate, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Gomoa Nyanyano Traditional Council to help stem the spread of the COVID-19.

The items included Veronica buckets and hand sanitizers.

At a short presentation ceremony at the Palace of Nana Obeng Wiabo V, Gomoa Nyanyano Chief, Nana Agyemang said the disease was real and traditional rulers must put strategies in place to complement government’s efforts at combating it.

He said his decision to contest the Parliamentary seat was to enable him to cater for the welfare of the people, especially the youth, who were the future manpower for the nation’s development.

Nana Agyemang said he was focused on ensuring the youth acquired technical and vocational skills to make them self-dependent to contribute meaningfully to development.

Nana Wiabo V, who is also the Oshiehen of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area, thanked the parliamentary aspirant for considering the plight of people in the area.

He prayed that the Almighty God grants Nana Agyemang success so he could work towards the total development of the area.
