Ghana Actors Guild calls for cessation media fracas

Accra, May 8, GNA – The Ghana Actors Guild (GAG-Ashanti) has expressed its displeasure with the animosity between its members and the family of deceased actor Bishop Benard Nyarko on some media platforms.

According to a statement by GAG-Ashanti, these are sad developments that would not allow sanity to prevail as they mourn the legendary Kumawood actor who passed away last Saturday.

“In this connection, the Executive would like to ask that the granting of interviews and others to the media, as well as postings on social media on our brother’s death and the engagement of the family, should come to an end forthwith.

“We implore all to exercise restraint in our pronouncement with regards to the issue at stake and let us all allow sanity to prevail so as to enable us to mourn him peacefully,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, a week one observation is expected to be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, in Accra and Kumasi.
