Coca-Cola Ghana supports needy residents in Nungua Krowor

Accra, May 04, GNA – The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited (TCCBCGL), has donated 3,500 packs of assorted beverages to 12 electoral areas in the Nungua Krowor Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The items are to be distributed among the needy and vulnerable residents in the Municipality to ease their plight as the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Ernest Yeboah Obeng, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Communications Lead of TCCBCGL in presenting the items to the Municipality, said the donation formed part of the company’s efforts to offer support to the poor and vulnerable in society, especially at a time the world was battling the Coronavirus pandemic.

He said the company recognised the economic impact the COVID-19 had brought on many, particularly on the underprivileged in society, adding that “we decided to commit ourselves to support their refreshment needs at this critical moment.”

He gave the assurance that the company would continue to contribute its quota towards enhancing the quality of human life in the country.

“As a human-centered organization, we acknowledge our responsibility to the people we serve and will do our bit to ensure that the quality of human life is enhanced,” he said.

Mr. Labaran Abdulai Osman, the Assembly Member of Nkpor Electoral Area, who received the items on behalf of the 12 electoral areas and the Municipality, expressed his appreciation to the company for the kind gesture and further gave an assurance that the products donated would be used for it intended purpose.
