Atwima Mponua Rural Bank supports Atwima-Nwabiagya Health Directorate

Toase (Ash), May 06, GNA – The Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Health Directorate has received relief items to enhance effective service delivery as the nation strives to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The items which included gallons of Dettol antiseptic, boxes of carbolic soap, packs of tissue paper, hand sanitizers, packs of latex hand gloves and nose masks were a gift from the Atwima Mponua Rural Bank Limited.

Valued at about GHȼ20,000.00, the items are meant to be distributed to all health facilities, both public and private, in the Municipality.

Mr. Justice Thomas Sevegu, the Municipal Health Director, receiving the gift on behalf of the directorate, pledged to distribute them equitably to all the health facilities.

He said the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic had become critical, and there was the need, therefore, for every Ghanaian to responsibly contribute their quota in combating it.

Mr. Sevegu called on organizations and philanthropists to regularly support the health facilities to complement efforts by the government to build a robust health sector and quality health care delivery at all levels.

Madam Beatrice Appah, a Board Member of the Bank, said the bank had been supporting Toase and nearby communities with food and sanitary items since the outbreak of the pandemic.

She said it was only when citizens are healthy that a financial institution could thrive, adding that, the bank would continue to contribute to the growth and development of the country.
