Cape Coast, April 18, GNA – The Management of Zenith Bank Ghana Limited has presented assorted items to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) to support the fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Central Region.
The items, worth thousands of Ghana Cedis included hand tissues, gallons of alcohol, alcohol wipes, hand sanitizers, gloves and boxes of floor disinfectants.
Mr. Jalaludeen Emram Adam, Head of Public Sector, speaking at the presentation commended the COVID-19team of the hospital for their dedication and commitment to duty.
He reiterated that the period of COVID-19 was challenging for the government which required that individuals and institutions supported the government to overcome the fight.
The donation, Mr. Adam indicated, fell in line with the bank’s mission as a corporate organisation to invest in the well being of people in its operational areas.
As part of measures to prevent the spread of the disease, he added that the bank was strictly implementing the physical protocols of hand washing and social distancing at its banking premises to protect both its staff and customers.
Dr Eric Kofi Ngyedu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CCTH described the gesture as timely and said it would go a long way to support the hospital’s fight against the pandemic in the region.
He expressed gratitude to the management of Zenith Bank and urged other corporate institutions and individuals to support the COVID-19 team.
