Aboman-Pantang Village (GAR), April 19, GNA – A US-based philanthropist Naa Smyle Holm has donated various items to some underprivileged people at Aboman, a suburb of Pantang Village.

The items included bags of rice, cooking oil and crates of eggs amongst others.

Besides the donation, many children in the area were served with the usual breakfast of ‘Koko’ and ‘Koose’.

Naa Holm, who is also a founding member of Touching Hearts Foundation, said the donation was her effort to contribute to the needs of the needy in the society.

The distribution of the donation was supervised by Mr Alex Adjei Obedekah, the Assemblyman of Pantang Electoral Area.

Mr Obedekah called on benefactors in the area to avoid politicizing their donations and urged other benevolent organizations to come to the aid of the needy in the area.

Mr Charles Nii Ankrah, the Country Director of the Foundation, said the Foundation was established in 2012 by a group of benevolent personalities adding that their aim is to support widows, the aged and the vulnerable in the society.
