Tatale-Sanguli DCE supports institutions to fight COVID-19

Tatale (N/R) April 03, GNA – Mr Thomas Nbomba, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Tatale-Sanguli in the Northern Region, has presented items worth GH¢30,000.00 to selected institutions to fight COVID-19.

The items included; 60 Veronica buckets with stands, 100 gallons of liquid soap, 300 containers hand sanitizers, four boxes of protective hand gloves, 60 boxes of table napkins and 80 bags of multipurpose towels.

They were distributed to Tatale District Hospital, CHPS Compounds, fisher folks, Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and market women to prevent them from contracting COVID-19.

Mr Nbomba told Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some of the items were yet to arrive and as soon as they arrived they would be distributed to other health centres in the constituency.

He appealed to the public to ignore speculations about Tatale District recording the novel coronavirus.

Mr Henry Mbini, Administrator for Tatale District Hospital expressed gratitude to the DCE for the gesture and assured him the items would be put to good use.
He said his outfit was putting all necessary measures in place to ensure that the District was able to withstand any outbreak of the pandemic.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Peter Paul Amoa, Tatale District Police Commander on behalf of the Police administration expressed gratitude to the DCE for the donation.

He said the coronavirus pandemic was a global phenomenon, which everybody was making efforts to fight against, thus the items came at the right time to enhance prevention of the virus as it would enable the officers and visitors to wash their hands regularly.

Obore Gariba Yankoso II, Paramount chief of Tatale Traditional Area thanked the DCE for the support and urged the constituents to observe social distancing and cover their noses with tissue papers when sneezing or coughing.
