Qunloon Ghana recalls contaminated ‘Mr. Q. Liquid’ from market

Accra, April 24, GNA – Qunloon Ghana Limited is recalling its contaminated product, “Mr Q. Liquid”, a Chinese Herbal Medicine with batch number ‘20190720’ registered by the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) for male vitality or virility, from the market.

A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra by Qunloon Ghana Limited, said the recall had become necessary because “an identification” has shown that the product was adulterated with ‘Vardenafil’, a prescription-only medicine used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.

The identification was made after a laboratory analysis was done on samples of the product from the market.

“As a responsible distributor, we believe that the use of Vardenafil and any other prescription-only medicine without advice of a medical practitioner may have serious health implications,” the statement said.

In view of this, it entreated those in possession of the product with the aforementioned batch number to return the product to the company’s local distributors or the pharmacy or herbal shop they purchased them from.

According to the statement, the company’s offices in the regions were directed to receive all returned products from customers.

“Qunloon Ghana limited wants to assure the public that it will always uphold the health and safety of Ghanaians as mandated by law.
