Asankrangwa (W/R), April 27, GNA – Father Thomas Alan Ronney Memorial hospital, Asankrangwa in the Amenfi West Municipality has received Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth thousands of Ghana cedis to battle the COVID- 19 pandemic.
The items include, cartons of alcoholic hand sanitizers, tissue papers, non-contact thermometers, liquid soaps, surgical face mask, surgical gloves, trash bins, Veronica buckets with wooden stands and receptive buckets were donated by the Vicar General of Wiawso Diocese, Reverend Monsignor Simon Assamoah,
Monsignor Assamoah who doubles as the Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Enchi made the donation as efforts to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
He appealed to the Town and Community Development Associations to support their communities in complying with the health and safety directives of the government.
The Vicar General praised the management and staff of the hospital for their dedication and commitment in these critical moments and encouraged them to use the items effectively to help in fighting the pandemic.
Mr Steve Kpangkpari, Senior Medical Officer, who received the items on behalf of the health facility promised to use the PPE donated for the intended purpose and asked God to replenish whatever the Vicar General had spent on the hospital.
Nana Kwame Appiah, Stool Secretary of Asankrangwa Divisional Area, gave the assurance that they would ensure that their subjects complied with all the conditions that have been spelled out by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Ghana Health Service (GHS).
