Aboadze(WR), April 26, GNA – The Aboadze Thermal Plant and other communities within the Shama District of the Western Region have benefited from government’s massive disinfection of major markets centers to rid them of germs and viruses.
The disinfection exercise was undertaken by Aslord Company Limited, a fumigation and disinfection company based in Accra.
The motive of the disinfection exercise was to kill viruses, germs and bacteria that posed a threat to human life particularly in this era of COVID-19 pandemic.
Papa Kojo Asamah, Managing Director of Aslord Ghana Limited told journalists that spraying the power enclave had no bearing or negative effect on power supply in the country.
He added that it had become necessary for government to undertake such a major environmental health intervention to safe and protect lives particularly at markets centers where crowding was the order of the day.
The Assembly Member for Aboadze Electoral Area, Mr. Emmanuel Avenor, was grateful to the company for the support and prayed that the Assembly would sustain the exercise for the betterment of traders and patrons.
