Tamale, April 02, GNA – The Tamale Children’s Home has taken delivery of food items amongst other valuables to help in the upkeep of the children in the facility.
The items included baby foods, soft drinks, 100 bags of sachet water, crates of eggs, cooking oil, diapers, detergents, baby dresses, and three baby scots amongst others.
The AAB Ministries, a Christian religious organisation, donated the items to the facility in fulfillment of Biblical scriptures to visit orphans in times of need and to provide for their welfare.
Prophet Augustine Bentil Abagali Director of AAB Ministries, who presented the items to the authorities of the facility in Tamale, said the COVID-19 pandemic had come with even more challenges for orphans, hence, the gesture to cushion them.
Prophet Abagali expressed the need for the authorities of the facility to use the items for the intended purposes and encouraged other charitable organisations to also support the facility in this trying time to ensure improved care for the children.
Mrs Augustina Quainoo, Supervisor of the Tamale Children’s Home, who received the items, expressed gratitude to AAB Ministries for the support, saying, it came at the right time to ensure better care for the children in the facility.
