Daboase (WR), March 31, GNA – Mr Isaac Adjei-Mensah Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wassa East Constituency, has embarked on public education in Daboase to combat the spread COVID-19 in the area.
Mr Mensah who took market women and transport operators through the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic, said the disease was deadly, and called on them to embrace the laid down protocols by regularly washing hands, using hand sanitizers and observing social distancing.
The MP stressed the need to avoid communal handwashing and sharing of hand towels and that they should endeavour to keep the approved social distance and constantly wash their hands with soup under running water.
Mr Adjei-Mensah later placed Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers and liquid soup at vantage points to ensure regular and proper hand washing.
He also distributed alcoholic based hand sanitizers to the market women, transport operators and some communities.
The market women and transport operators thanked the MP for taking them through the proper way of hand washing and the need to use hand sanitizers.
