Accra, March 30 GNA – The usual hustle and bustle on the streets from Oyarifa to Madina have been absent since the partial lockdown which started on Monday in compliance with the directives of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
The street from Oyarifa on the Aburi-Madina roads had fewer vehicular movements on the stretch.
Most hardware shops in Madina were closed while food sellers behind Madina market and Drug Stores were operational.
Few passengers and vehicles were at the lorry stations when GNA visited.
The police and city guards were on sight to maintain law and order. Some recalcitrant drivers who had taken advantage of fewer vehicles on the road and had parked at unauthorized places to allow passengers to board were arrested.
At the Ayi Mensa Police Barrier no vehicle was allowed to cross.
GNA observed that compliance to the president’s directives from Oyarifa, Adenta and Madina was strictly being enforced.
