Mim, (Ahafo), Nov. 27, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Frimpong Boadu, the First Vice Chairman of the Asunafo North Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region, has appealed to the electorates in the constituency to avoid ‘skirt and blouse’ voting on December 7.
Instead, he asked them to vote for the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer and Mr Evans Opoku-Bobie, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the constituency.
Mr Boadu made the appeal when he addressed some artisanal workers at a meeting to highlight and sensitize them on the content of the NPP’s Election 2024 manifesto at Mim in the constituency.
He explained that the performance of the MP in terms of development remained unparalleled in the political history of the constituency, saying his accolade “Adwumawura” literally, ‘dedicated worker’ earned from the electorates remained a testament of the MP’s performance.
“Everybody in the constituency, including the NDC people, are all aware of the unprecedented development the MP and the NPP government have brought to Mim”, he stated and asked the electorates to endorse the Vice President Bawumia and the MP.
“Election is a comparative decision. You make a choice by comparing the records of the contestants and not necessarily from where they come from”, Mr Boadu stated.
“Ghana operates under an executive presidency system, where the President serves as both the head of state and the head of government. So, if your MP is not from the same political party as the President, it can hinder the development of your constituency”, he explained.
