Former President Dramani Mahama, who is seeking election as President in the December 7 election, made the declaration when he addressed a rally at Kamgbunli in the Ellembelle Constituency.
It formed part of a three-day campaign tour of the Western Region to solicit for votes for the December 7 elections.
Mr Mahama recalled that as a Deputy Minister for Energy in the John Evans Atta Mills-Mahama-led government, Mr Armah-Kofi Buah performed creditably.
“As a mark of recognition of that feat, I appointed him as a substantive Minister for Energy and Petroleum during my first term in office as President”, the NDC flag bearer said.
Mr Dramani Mahama acknowledged the invaluable role Mr Armah-Kofi Buah played as MP and Minister for the people of Ellembelle, Nzema land, the NDC as a party and Ghana as a country.
He said Mr Armah-Kofi Buah was on the number one list of his cabinet Ministers who worked tirelessly with integrity in his government.
“When it comes to appointing my cabinet Ministers, Armah-Kofi Buah is number one on the list,” the NDC flag bearer reiterated.
Mr Mahama asked the people of Ellembelle to vote massively for Mr Armah-Kofi Buah to retain his seat in Parliament and vote for him on December 7 to return the NDC into government on January 7, 2025.
For his part, Mr Armah-Kofi Buah thanked the people of Ellembelle, the NDC party and former President Mahama for the opportunity to serve the constituency and Ghana at large.
The MP said he would never relent in his efforts to push the development agenda of Ellembelle, Nzema Land, the Western Region and the entire country.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah expressed confidence and optimism that he and Mr Mahama would win next week’s Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
