Chief encourages electorates to vote on December 7

Abi, (Bono), Nov. 26, GNA – Nana Oppong Taa Senti II, the Chief of Abi, a farming community in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region, has advised eligible voters to go and vote on December 7.

He also asked the youth to serve as peace ambassadors before, during and after the December polls, urging all voters to contribute to electing good leaders for the nation.

Nana Senti II gave the advice when he addressed a durbar to mark the celebration of the annual ‘Munufie’ Yam festival of the chiefs and people of the area at Abi, near Jinijini, the District capital.

He cautioned chiefs and queens not to intervene but allow the law to deal with troublemakers in the election season.

Nana Afia Ankama Bema II, the Queen-mother of the community also called on the government to build a Community-based Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound in the area to bring healthcare delivery to the doorstep of the people.
