Moscow, Nov. 25, (dpa/GNA) – Debris from downed drones set fire to an industrial facility approximately 200 kilometres south-west of Moscow, according to Russian information.
Three of the drones were destroyed by air defences on the outskirts of Kaluga, wrote the regional governor Vladislav Shapsha on Telegram on Monday. The debris reportedly fell onto the grounds of an industrial company and started a fire. No injuries were reported.
Ukraine has been fending off a large-scale Russian invasion for more than two and a half years. During this time, Russia has been targeting Ukrainian territory almost nightly with its long-range missiles, attempting to cripple the energy supply. Many civilian targets are also hit.
Ukraine lacks adequate air defences but has been responding by increasing the range of its combat drones and targeting Russian refineries and fuel supply facilities.
