Dantano, (A/R), Nov. 25, GNA – Mr Moses Antwi, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has promised to build a state-of-the-art ICT laboratory for the Dantano in the Asunafo South Constituency, if the electorate there vote for the NPP on December 7.
He said what he required from the electorates to build the facility, was for them to go out all in their numbers to vote for the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Election 2024 flagbearer, and Mr Frank Aduse Poku, the Parliamentary Candidate of the party to secure between 75-80 percent votes.
Addressing a mammoth political rally at Dantano, a farming community in the region, Mr Antwi, a native of the town, and a former Second Vice Chair of the China branch of the NPP and a highly revered personality in the area, reminded the electorates there that they needed the laboratory to advance the study of ICT and also participate fully in the digital space.
He highlighted the transformative benefits of voting for the NPP Candidates in the Election 2024, saying ICT played an integral role in development of modern societies, adding that accessing technology and digital education “is no longer a luxury but a necessity for economic empowerment and the growth of future generations”.
“Our children deserve better opportunities to compete globally” Mr Antwi stated, saying “an ICT laboratory will be a game-changer for Dantano, opening doors to knowledge, skills, and innovation”.
However, “we can only achieve that if we align ourselves with leaders who prioritize digitization like Dr Bawumia and Mr Poku,” he stated, saying Dr Bawumia’s Legacy in digitization would advance the progressive development of the local communities and the nation by extension.
Mr lauded Alhaji Dr Bawumia for his pivotal role in driving Ghana’s digital transformation, citing initiatives such as the Ghana Card, mobile money interoperability, and the digitization of public services, arguing that that those achievements positioned “Dr Bawumia the ideal leader to propel Ghana into a new era of technological advancement.”
“Dr Bawumia has a proven track record of leveraging technology for national development. With his leadership, we can expect more innovative solutions that will benefit every Ghanaian, including us here in Dantano,” he added.
Describing Mr Poku as a “champion for local development,” Mr Antwi said the NPP PC remained as a “dedicated advocate for local development” emphasizing his commitment to addressing the unique needs of the constituency, particularly in education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
“With Mr Poku as our MP, we will have a strong voice in Parliament advocating our interests. So, his partnership with Dr Bawumia will ensure that our community receives its fair share of the distribution of the national cake in terms of development,” Mr Antwi said.
