Kumasi Nov. 23, GNA – The Fulbe Royal Family in the Ashanti region, has donated medical supplies worth $10,000 to hospitals across Ghana.

The initiative forms part of the Royal Family’s commitment to promoting good health and well-being, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.

“Our health is the most important element of our lives.

With good health, we can achieve more and do more,” stated Sarauniya Ameenata Koita, the Fulbe Queen.

The donation benefited several healthcare facilities, including The Salvation Army Anidasofie Clinic, Kokomlemele, and the Mallam-Atta Market Government Clinic.

Speaking at a presentation ceremony to Buipe PolyClinic, at the Palace of the Paramount chief of the Buipe traditional area Buipe-Wura Abdulai Jinapor II, Laamiido Osman B. Ahmed Koita, the Ashanti Regional Fulbe Chief, emphasised the responsibility of leaders to support their communities.

“We have a duty of care for the people we lead.

It is our responsibility to support them through initiatives such as this.

These medical supplies are a testament to our dedication to ensuring that Fulani and Ghanaian communities stay healthy,” he explained.

He also acknowledged the donors whose efforts made the contribution possible. “These supplies are the result of the efforts of many donors.

We appreciate their commitment to making the world a better place,” he added.

The medical supplies, which included various surgical and healthcare items, were provided through the kind donations of Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital in the United States.

The initiative was facilitated by the Sarauniya International Development Organization and the SuuduBaaba Foundation, both projects spearheaded by the Fulani Royal Palace.
