Arab Bank, GETFUND build education facilities for Nsuta RC Primary

Nsuta, (BE/R) Nov. 19, GNA – Mr Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, the Techiman Metropolitan Chief Executive, has inaugurated a block for kindergarten school black and a six-unit classroom block for the Nsuta Roman Catholic Primary School in the metropolis.

The construction of the kindergarten block was funded by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and contained child-friendly classrooms, washrooms, kitchen, dining hall, storerooms, playing grounds and an Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund also funded the construction of the six-unit classroom block for the school.

Speaking at a ceremony at Nsuta, Mr Gyarko stressed the government’s commitment to improve educational infrastructure in her efforts to promote quality education at all levels.

“The government understands the importance of education and is doing everything possible to tackle the deficit in the nation’s education infrastructure development,” he stated. He said the government had constructed more than 80 educational facilities spread across the various communities in the metropolis.

Mr Stephen Aidoo, the Deputy Director at the Techiman Metropolitan Directorate of Education lauded the government’s efforts towards addressing the shortfall in the education infrastructure in the area.

He therefore advised the school authorities to take good care of the facilities and endeavour to maintain them as well.
