Nnebehini (Ash), Nov. 18, GNA – The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) through its Local Accountability Network (LANet) in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality, has sensitised some first-time voters in the Municipality as they look forward to exercising their franchise in December.

Under its “Activating Ghana’s First Time Voters for Election 2024” initiative, LANet members in the Municipality engaged students of Nnebehini TVET and Muslim community on electoral processes and peaceful elections.

Madam Christiana Osei, Secretary to the Municipal LANet, advised young people who are going to vote this year, to stay away from any form of malpractice that could lead them into trouble.

They must resist any attempt by politicians to influence their decision with money or any other incentives.

She said as young people, they had a civic duty to contribute to the stability of the country as future leaders and urged them to abide by the rules and regulations governing the election.

She reminded them that violence was a threat to Ghana’s enviable reputation as one of the few countries in the sub-region which has upheld democracy in the last three decades.

All the young people who were engaged expressed their excitement to take part in this year’s election and thanked the LANet for the sensitisation.
