China, Russia to hold meetings on security, law-enforcement

BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua/GNA) — Sergei Shoigu, secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council, will attend two meetings in China from November 11 to 15, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian announced Monday.

Shoigu will attend the 19th round of the annual China-Russia strategic security consultation, and the 9th meeting of the China-Russia law-enforcement and security cooperation mechanism, Lin said.

Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Chen Wenqing, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, will hold talks with Shoigu respectively, Lin added.
