Atronie, (B/R), Nov. 8, GNA – Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister has inspired the electorates at Atronie, her hometown, asking them to vote for the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia when they go to polls on December 7.
She said rallying behind and voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer in the Election 2024 was not only a sign of gratitude to the government for her position, but also to bring the development of the area to the next level.
Mad Owusu-Banahene also called on the electorate there to vote for Mr Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani East constituency too.
As the people gave her rousing return to her hometown, the Regional Minister, also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to them for their unflinching support to her administration and asked them to do more and to persuade the electorates at the adjoining communities to vote for the Vice President and the incumbent MP.
Addressing the chiefs and people to the town, Mad Owusu-Banahene said the NPP had not neglected the chiefs and people of the area.
She said besides her position, from the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive to the substantive Regional Minister, the government had equally spread development projects in all the local communities in the area.
She highlighted some of the unprecedented achievements of the NPP governments and sensitised the people on the party’s Election 2024 polticial manifesto too, urging them to
support the vision of Alhaji Dr Bawumia. Mad Owusu-Banahene said the implementation of the Free Senior High School, Planting for Food and Jobs, as well as the on-going construction of a Senior and Technical School at Atronie alone ought to inspire them to canvass votes for the Vice President.
She said the free distribution of seedlings to farmers in the area, extension of electricity to several communities around, and provision of potable drinking water were all indications that the government had not neglected the Atronie people.
“Even my journey from Municipal Chief Executive to Regional Minister is evidence that the NPP government is our own and we must support Bawumia to do more for us”, she stated.
“I have also not let you down. You are aware of the number of households which have benefited from educational opportunities, scholarships and employment”, the Regional Minister added.
Mad Owusu-Banahene called on the people to prioritise peace, urging them to bury their political and other differences, forge ahead in unity and push the holistic development of the area forward.
