Brosankro, (A/R), Nov. 6, GNA-Mr Charles Akwasi Asiedu, the NDC parliamentary candidate in the Tano South Constituency of the Ahafo Region has performed groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a community-based Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound at Brosankro in the constituency.
Mr Asiedu said he initiated and was personally funding the project sited at the Bronsankro old town to bring healthcare to the doorstep of the people in the area.
He said quality and improved health remained essential in alleviating poverty and promised to complete and hand-over the project for use.
Mr Asiedu said his development plans for the constituency remained “big” and called on the electorates there to vote for him when they go to polls on December 7, to enable him to achieve his vision for the area, and added the construction of the CHPS compound followed an appeal made by the chiefs and people of the area.
On completion, he said the facility would benefit all the people irrespective of their political orientation, and therefore advised them not to involve partisan politics into the construction of the project, instead support the contractor to execute quality work.
Mr Isaac Ankama Bosea, the Human Resource Manager of the Tano South Municipal Directorate of Health, expressed appreciation to the parliamentary candidate for the project and called on others to emulate and help improve the health standard of the people.
Nana Agyemang Prempeh, the Krontrihene (sub-chief) of the area also thanked the candidatefor coming to the aid of the community.
