Sefwi -Boako (WN/R), Nov. 01, GNA – Mr Kwame Owusu Danso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, one of the parties contesting in Ghana’s next December general elections, has said the party would establish a Traders Bank to provide financial support to private sector businesses.
He said the move was part of the transformational plan agenda of the party, aimed at boosting the growth of private businesses for national economic development.
He said this during a three-day campaign tour of the Western North Region to canvass votes for the party in the December 7 polls.
Some of the communities he visited were Sefwi Boako, Sefwi Asafo, Asawinso Market, Bozan, and Sefwi-Juaboso, among others, to explain the concept of their transformation to the electorate.
Speaking at separate durbars in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Sefwi- Wiawso and Juaboso Constituencies, Mr Danso appealed to the electorate to embrace the good policies of the Flagbearer, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, to bring the development that Ghana needed.
He likened Mr Kyerematen to Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President, and said he was the only person who could lead Ghana to economic independence when voted into office as the next President.
As part of his tour, the Running Mate of Movement for Change paid a courtesy call to the Wiawso Traditional Council to introduce himself to the members and seek their advice, blessings and prayers to pursue his political agenda.
Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll, the Omanhene of the Sefwi-Wiawso Traditional Council, praised the Running Mate and his campaign team for engaging in decent campaigns.
He was also thankful to Mr. Kyerematen for donating 1,000 bags of cement to support the renovation of his palace, and financial aid to the traditional council during the celebration of last year’s Allue Festival.
