NDC won’t tolerate intimidation in elections – Ashanti Regional Chairman

Accra, Oct 31, GNA – Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), says the Party will not tolerate any form of intimidation before, during and after the December general election.

A statement issued by Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, the Spokesman of the NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, copied to the Ghana News Agency said Nana Kwasi made the remarks at a rally at Obuasi during the Ashanti Regional campaign tour of the NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

The Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman said the Party had a robust plan to protect its votes in the 2024 elections.

He therefore urged NDC members and supporters to turn up in their numbers on election day and vote for NDC Presidential Candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama and the Party’s Parliamentary Candidates.

Commenting on abandoned development projects in the Region, Nana Kwasi said the next NDC Government would collaborate with traditional authorities to promote development in the Region.

He said women’s empowerment was also high on the agenda of the next NDC

administration.

Nana Kwasi added that the lofty plans for the development plan of the NDC for the Ashanti Region could only come to fruition when the people in the Region vote for the Party.

He, therefore, urged the electorate to vote for Mr Mahama to reset the country, create jobs for the youth and empower women financially through the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
