Sofia, Oct 29 (BTA/GNA) – Sofia Tech Park hosted the first regional forum and startup competition South East European Innovators Challenge (SEEIC) on October 27 and 28. SEEIC is the first initiative of the SEE Science & Technology Parks Alliance.

An international jury of experts, investors and media representatives named the SEEIC winners:
Best Startup in SE Europe Award: Neuromorphica (Sofia Tech Park, Bulgaria). The company is developing an innovative dual-purpose system based on a core chip and a neuromorphic network for artificial intelligence devices;
2nd place: Pure Solutions (Ostim Teknopark, Turkiye), a high-tech company which develops analytics and long-term reporting software and hardware solutions for dairy farmers;
3rd place: Enthela (Sofia Tech Park, Bulgaria), which offers an innovative solution for agriculture by developing a biostimulant that helps reduce the use of nitrogen fertilizers while maintaining yield and soil fertility;
Sofia Tech Park Special Award: Irisphera (Magurele Science Park, Romania), which offers a personal digital stylist that uses AI to offer personalized clothing recommendations tailored to users’ shape, size and color preferences;
Sofia City Hall Special Award: City&Me (Science Technology Park Nis, Serbia), which develops a digital platform that facilitates residents’ communication with city institutions and encourages local activism on key issues such as urban mobility, recycling, greening.

Sofia Tech Park and other science and technology centers in Southeast Europe Monday signed a Memorandum for Cooperation and Joint Activities.
The document was signed by members of the regional association of science and technology parks in Southeast Europe, among which were Sofia Tech Park, Technology Park – Gabrovo, JOIST Innovation Park (Greece), Thessaloniki Innovation And Technology Center (Greece), Magurele Science Park (Romania), Technology park Novi Sad (Serbia), Science Technology Park Nis (Serbia), Ostim Teknopark (Turkiye), Antalya OIZ Technopark (Turkiye), Bursa Technopark (Turkiye), BUDOTEK Teknopark (Turkiye), Namik Kemal University Technology Development Zone (Turkiye), Science and Technology Park Montenegro (Montenegro).
The aim of the alliance is to stimulate the development of cooperation between the science and innovation ecosystems in South East Europe and to support the development of innovation and technology in the region.
