La-Dade-kotopon MP launches campaign for second term bid

Accra, Oct 28, GNA – Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dade-Kotopon has launched her campaign for a second term bid with a call on the constituents to place their trust in her leadership.

She said for the past four years as their representative, she had worked hard to improve the living conditions of the people, fulfilled her promises, and deserved another term to continue what she started.

Outlining her achievements to a large gathering of NDC supporters, she mentioned construction of Tse-Addo and Burma camp roads, construction of La market and redevelopment of the Ghana International trade fare centre as some of her achievements.

The MP who is a former Municipal Chief Executive of the area, appealed to the people to vote for her and Former President John Mahama to change the fortunes of the country and bring relief to the suffering masses due to NPPs mismanagement.

“The NDC under the leadership of Former President Mahama has the experience to turn the bad economy around and steer the country back on the path of progress” she said

Over the past weeks, Madam Sowah, has ramped up her campaign visiting homes and workplaces within the constituency, to sell her message and that of the party’s manifesto to woo voters.

She also shared her plans to train females especially in skills and entrepreneurship to empower them and improve the infrastructure deficit in the four Senior High schools in the constituency when given the nod.

Ms Sowah, the first female MP for the area is one of 29 incumbent Female MPs seeking re-election in the upcoming general elections.
