EC revises ballot statistics for 20 polling stations over Court order

Accra, Oct. 28, GNA – The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced a “slight revision” to the 2024 ballot statistics initially provided to political parties and printing firms.

The revision, affecting 20 polling stations, follows a re-exhibition of the provisional voters’ register as directed by the High Court.

“The revised ballot statistics, including the affected polling stations, have been shared with the political parties, independent candidates, and printing firms,” the EC said in a statement signed by Mr. Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman for Operations, on Monday.

The Temp Booth Bekyedergangn polling station in the Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region recorded the largest adjustment, with a new voter count of 404, up from the previous 296, and a revised provision of 310 ballots—marking an increase of 94 ballots.

The smallest adjustment, a change of 1, occurred at three polling stations: the D/C JSS Aboifie in the Amenfi West Constituency, and Methodist Primary School, Taha, and Dar-El Uluum Islamic Primary School, both in the Tamale North Constituency.
