Describing the contributions of the two parliamentary candidates to the growth and development of the party in the constituencies as exceptional and unmatched, Mr Mensah said “we have to give the chance and test the strength of the female candidates in the next parliament”.
“From what we have gathered so far, their engagements with the local people and their commitment to the development of the local communities are exceptional”, he stated.
Mr Mensah also highlighted the need for the electorates and Ghanaians in general to support more women to become MPs, saying “women are compassionate and caring, and we must support and give many of them the chance to also contribute meaningfully towards accelerated national development”.
“The masses now want to see politicians who are approachable and ready to listen to them”, he stated, saying a larger number of female representation in parliament would contribute to an all-inclusive policymaking that considered the diverse needs of the growing population.
“Women perspectives and experiences can enrich legislative discourse and drive meaningful change”, Mr Mensah added, and therefore, advised the electorates to vote for the two female candidates when they go to polls on December 7.
