Adaklu Abuadi (V/R), Oct 27, GNA – Mr. Alex Kwasi Akotey, Headmaster of Gbekor Senior High School at Adaklu Abuadi/Tsriefe in the Adaklu district has appealed for a potable water for the school.
He said now that the school has been granted a boarding status demanded the provision of potable water.
Mr Akotey made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Adaklu Abuadi.
He stated that the school has “the state-of-the-art facilities” and was ready to admit more students into the boarding system.
The headmaster noted that water from the borehole, which served the school was so salty and that it needed a desalination machine to be fixed on it.
He said as a long-term measure to solve the perennial water problem of the ever-increasing population of the school, a pipe borne water should be extended to the school.
Mr Akotey also appealed for a bus for the school and a means of transport for the headmaster.
He called on parents to send their wards to the school now that it was given a boarding status coupled with its excellent facilities and proximity from Ho.
Mr Akotey mentioned courses run by the school as general science, business, general arts and visual and performing arts. Others he said were home economics, agriculture science, and languages.
He was full of praise for Mr. Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament for Adaklu for providing the school with a modern kitchen.
