Yamire, (B/R), Oct. 22, GNA – Mr. Ransford Antwi, Election 2024 Independent Parliamentary Candidate (PC) in the Sunyani East Constituency has rehabilitated 18 mechanized boreholes in some local communities in the constituency.
Hitherto, the residents in some of the 14 beneficiaries depended on nearby streams and well after the facilities remained non-functional for years due to some faults, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered.
The beneficiary communities include Donsesre, Yeboahkrom, Eskesu, Ohukrom, Atronie, Peperahkrom, Yawsae, Kyeremekrom, Abesim, Yamire, Domeabra-Yeboakrom, Krosua, Yawhima-Mensakrom and Nkwabeng.
Mr Atta Akoto Senior, the Election 2034 Campaign Manager of the PC who disclosed this told the GNA in an interview that “water is life and Mr Antwi is ready to do more in ensuring that all the deprived communities in the constituency access potable drinking water if he wins the seat”.
He therefore called on the electorates to vote for Mr Antwi, if they needed improvement in their socio-economic livelihoods.
Mr Tetteh Ayitey, a former Assembly Member for the Yawsae Electoral Area said he tried persistently for the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to fix the facilities for use however, all efforts were unsuccessful.
He expressed appreciation to the PC and prayed that he would win the parliamentary seat and do more for the people.
