Tepa, (Ashanti), Oct. 4, GNA – The Deeper Life Aid (DLAID) the humanitarian organ of the Deeper Life Bible Church has presented educational materials to selected school children in the Goaso Region of the Church.

Each of the 10 beneficiaries received textbooks, (Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies), number of exercise notebooks, mathematical sets, exercise books, pens and school bag.

Speaking at a short ceremony held at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Pastor Solomon Donkor, the Tepa Divisional Overseer of the Church said the gesture was the church’s contribution towards improving education.

Besides their spiritual development, he said investment into their education remained the best legacy the church could bequeath to the school children and urged parents to support the spiritual and educational needs of their children.

Miss Gifty Obeng, a Representative of the DLAID from the headquarters in Accra said the presentation formed part of the DLAID’s Child education support programme being implemented nationwide.

She said it required collaborative efforts from parents, teachers and all stakeholders in ensuring the proper upbringing and development of the school children, hence the need for the church to contribute to that direction.

Ms Obeng said the school children needed the learning and teaching materials to inspire them to learn hard and achieve high academic laurels.

Pastor Bismark Mesu-Antwi, the Goaso Regional Focal Person, DLAID, urged the beneficiaries to endeavour to read their books to make a difference in their respective schools.

Mr Justice Victor Lumor, the Deputy Director at the Ahafo Ano North Municipal Directorate of Education commended the church and DLAID for the support that would facilitate the learning process of the children.

He urged other stakeholders to also play their respective roles effectively to improve quality education in the area.
