Tema, Oct 02, GNA — The Reverend Ebenezer Ayer, the Head Pastor of the Priesthood Worship Centre (PWC), Assemblies of God at Tema Community Six, has called on Ghanaians to celebrate and learn from others’ success journeys instead of being jealous of them.
Rev. Ayer said everyone’s journey was unique with its own pace and schedules, stressing the need to trust in the sovereignty and timing of God even in uncertainty, adding that laziness is a bane to success.
Emphasising the scriptures, he urged Ghanaians to have a receptive heart towards the word of God, have a vision, work hard, and back it up with prayers, explaining that it was wrong and sinful to use dubious means to attain success just to prove a point.
The head pastor, who was preaching during an evangelism event at Tema Community One, stated that circumstances of life made people feel neglected, disappointed, and frustrated, adding however that God sees a bigger picture, therefore envying would rather limit one’s attempt to be successful.
He explained that God valued and prioritised everyone’s needs regardless of their circumstances or significance, stressing that jealousy and hatred blocked people’s blessings and opportunities, hence the need to wait for his timing and celebrate those succeeding.
He said: “God is a loving father who desires the best for his children, and his unique plan is tailored to the needs and circumstances of every individual, which unfolds according to his will.”
Rev. Ayer said Christians must position themselves well through preparation in order not to miss out on opportunities when their time is right, stressing that it was highly unacceptable to plan evil for those succeeding.
