International Association of World Peace Advocates Ghana inducts four new peace ambassadors

Accra, Sept 24, GNA – The International Association of World Peace Advocates Ghana (IAWPA-GHANA) has inducted four persons as new peace ambassadors for their tireless efforts in promoting peace and harmony across Africa.

The four are Dr Victor Obodai Anang, Crystal Logistics and a general merchant; Sultan Mohamed Adamu, Zongo Chief of Barimah Lafa Traditional Area, Apagyahene of Ajumako Traditional Area; Mercy Ante Agyepong, Ankobeahemaa of Akuapim Aseseeso Traditional Area;

and Dr Nii Saka Allotey, President and Founder of Nii Sallo, Ghana.

The induction took place at the 2024 Africa Peace Advocates Awards Night held in Accra.

It was in recognition of their dedication to conflict resolution, community development, and humanitarian service.

The four ambassadors join a network of esteemed individuals committed to fostering peace and stability in Ghana and beyond.

Speaking at the event, Dr Ben Samuel Owusu, IAWPA-GHANA’s Country Director, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to promoting peace, security, and women’s empowerment, in Africa.

“This induction serves as a catalyst for continued peace efforts, inspiring others to join the quest for a harmonious and prosperous Africa,” the Country Director said.

The ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries, including from the diplomatic corps, traditional leaders, and civil society organisation representatives.

 Dr Owusu also praised the awardees for their selfless dedication to peace.
