Hearts of Oak coach emphasises importance of unity amid poor start in GPL

Accra, Sept. 21, GNA – Accra Hearts of Oak Head Coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, believes that the team’s success would be dependent on togetherness and fan support.

The Phobians face Bechem United in a matchday three encounter at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

According to the coach, the team was ready to take all three points against Bechem United, and the players release the pressure that comes with playing for such a club.

“We all know the kind of team we need, and when we are divided, it is not to our benefit. Will try to get good results against another strong team in Bechem United.

“We are taking it match and match, and I think the team will change, but we need to train harder,” he said.

Coach Ouattara also urged the supporters of the club to rally around the team amid these difficult times, and hopefully they would bounce back.

“The fans are like the blood of the club because coaches can go like players. We know they are disappointed with the two matches. They have criticised me; I have listened to the good ones, but no insults.

“We need them because these fans love the club, and I urge them to come to the stadium on Sunday to push the players to victory.

Hearts of Oak currently lie bottom of the GPL standing with zero points out of a possible six.
