Accra, Sept. 20, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be number one on the 2024 presidential election ballot, whereas, the National Democratic Congress’s John Dramani Mahama will be eighth on the ballot.
This was confirmed after the Electoral Commission conducted the presidential ballots at its premises on Friday, September 20.
After some disagreements and delays, the ballots picking were finally done, first with the party-sponsored candidates and then the independent candidates.
Dr Daniel Augustus Lartey Jnr of the Great Consolidated Popular Party will be second on the ballot; Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party, third; Christian Kwabena Andrews of the Ghana Union Movement, the fourth and Mr Kofi Apaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana on the fifth position.
The sixth will be Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong of the National Democratic Party; followed by Madam Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankuma of the Convention People’s Party as the seventh.
Dr Hassan Ayariga of the All People’s Congress will be the ninth.
Independent candidates followed, with Mr Kofi Koranteng at number 10; Mr George Twum-Barima-Adu at number 11; Nana Kwame Bediako at 12, and Mr Alan Kyerematen at the bottom 13th position.
