Gomoa Central MP files to contest seat for third time

Gomoa Beseadze (C/R), Sept. 12, GNA – Mrs Naana Eyiah Quansah, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa Central has filed her nomination forms to contest the December 7, parliamentary elections for the third time. 

According to her, it was her desire to improve the quality of life of the people, was the reason she was contesting again to help complete her vision for the constituency. 

Speaking to the media, after filing the forms, Mrs Eyiah Quansah expressed optimism that the electorates would vote massively for her and Dr Bawumia to win to continue the good works started in 2017 to improve the living standards of the people. 

She said she had unfinished business to ensure that the rest of the unemployed youth would also get jobs to reduce the poverty level in the constituency. 

The MP who is also the Deputy Interior Minister said her doors were wide opened for everybody and assured that her generosity to the constituents would never end and therefore they should also reciprocate by voting for her. 

 The Deputy Minister reiterated calls on chiefs and Queen mothers in the Gomoa Central Constituency to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and vote to maintain it on December 7, 2024. 

Mrs Eyiah Quansah said the construction works on the Winneba-Junction to Gomoa Jukwa stretch, near Agona Swedru were progressing steadily to facilitate trade and commence to enhance economic development. 

The Deputy Interior Minister asked parents to advise their children to reject any politician who would influence them with money to snatch ballot boxes or cause chaos and mayhem at polling stations, to ensure peaceful elections. 

She cautioned groups who were planning to brandish guns and other dangerous weapons to cause trouble during the elections, to rescind their decisions because the law would deal with them. 

Mrs Eyiah Quansah said the Police, military, Immigration, Fire and Prison Services Officers would be deployed on election day to supervise the exercise.
