Former President Mahama touts NDC’s intervention policies in Bono East

Kintampo, (BE/R) Sept. 3, GNA-The Former President John Dramani Mahama, the Election 2024 Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reaffirmed his commitment to create more jobs and build a resilient economy to better the socio-economic lives of the people. 
 
He touted and described the NDC’s 24-hour economy, free tuition fees for first-year tertiary students and the women’s bank policies as realistic interventions that would “re-instate” Ghanaians to a good and a better life. 
 
Additionally, the former President said his next government would prioritise education, health and job creation, and added that quality education, health and ready jobs would improve the socio-economic livelihoods of the masses. 
 
Mr Mahama said this when he addressed supporters and members of the party at a political rally at Kintampo in the Bono East Region, as part of his visit to the region. 

He asked the people to maintain their hope in the NDC and vote for the party in the December 7 polls. 
 
“The NDC has a more competent people to reset the country and rebuild the economy for progressive and sustainable development”, he stated. 
 
Former President Mahama said he was worried about the high unemployment situation in the country and promised that his next government would do much to create decent jobs for the youth through artisanship. 
 
He said financial support would be provided to entrepreneurs and artisans to empower them to engage and offer employable skill training to interested young people in various trades to fetch themselves jobs. 
 
The former President said the 24-hour economy would further make jobs available to the people while the Women Bank policy would also empower women traders and those in other businesses financially to build and expand their economic activities. 
 
Mr Mahama said his government would also prioritize and invest much into improving road networks nationwide and called on the electorate not to disappoint the NDC when they go to the polls on December 7. 
 
The Former President is expected to visit and interact with NDC supporters and members in all eleven constituencies in the region.
