Accra, Aug. 24, GNA – Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC have progressed to the second round of the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup after emphatically edging Chadian side Elect Sport.

Following their impressive 3-0 victory in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, Nsoatreman FC delivered a 2-0 win against Elect Sport at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé on Saturday.

A goal in each half by Walid Fuseni and Stephen Diyuo were enough to propel Nsoatreman FC to victory in the second leg as they progressed to the next round by a 5-0 aggregate.

Having dominated the first leg encounter in Accra, the second leg was no different for Nsoatreman FC, who squandered a lot of chances in the second leg.

However, it was not costly for Yaw Preko’s side, who eased past their opponent and secured a spot in the next round.

The Nsoatre-based side would now await the winner of the tie between Police FC and CS Constantine, with the latter leading 2-0 heading into the second leg tomorrow.

Nsoatreman would now switch focus to the Super Cup, where they are scheduled to face FC Samartex 1996 at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa next week.
