Sunyani, July 22, GNA – The Deeper Life Bible Church, Bono Regional Division, has launched the Ghana edition of the Global Crusade Kumuyi (GCK) campaign, with a call on parents to encourage their adolescents to participate in the ‘Youth Impact Academy’ segment of the global evangelism campaign.

Thousands of people from all walks of life, including foreigners, are expected to gather at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, to host Pastor Dr William F. Kumuyi, the Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Bible Ministry (DCLBM).

It is on the theme: “Salvation and Healing Through Christ”.

Pastor Dr Kumuyi, the popular Nigerian tele-evangelist, is expected to administer spiritual healing to all kinds of diseases and sicknesses and to advance the Kingdom of God.

Other ministers of the Gospel, globally, are expected to attend the inter-denominational crusade beginning Thursday, July 25, to Tuesday, July 30, which will also feature special conferences for church workers, leaders, elders and pastors.

Pastor David Obeng, the Bono Regional Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, said the Youth Impact Academy would be held at the main campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Saturday, July 27.

He expressed worry over the growing trend of acts of immorality, and general moral decay in society, particularly among adolescents, and said the “youth impact academy’ held the key to change, transform and bring back the life of the younger generation.

Pastor Obeng said as the future leaders of the country, the youth could grow and become responsible adults, only if they gave their “life to and accept Jesus Christ as their only and personal Saviour that would empower them to live by the teachings of the Bible.

“They cannot live holy and righteous lives, we expect them to live unless we lead them to Christ and that is why concerned parents must support and allow their adolescent to participate in the academy,” he told the hundreds of congregants at the launch of the campaign in Sunyani.

Pastor Obeng said the Global Crusade Kumuyi provided an opportunity for everybody “to meet with Jesus Christ” and called on all Ghanaians, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to attend and benefit from the blessings of God.

“It is not the will of God for anybody to perish, but the delight of Jesus Christ to save and bring everybody into the eternal kingdom of God. In fact, that was the reason Christ came to the earth and gave His precious life for all, especially those who wallow in sin.”

Earlier, hundreds of members of the church went on a procession through the principal streets of Sunyani to draw the attention of the masses to the GCK and distributed flyers.
