Accra, Dec. 24, GNA – The third edition of the Taste of Ghana festival opened at the Black Star Square in Accra with a colourful display of Ghanaian arts and culture.
It was a perfect display of Ghanaian food, music, fashion, and sports, among others, as patrons were left stunned by the rich cultural history of Ghana.
The two-day festival, which kicked off on Friday, December 23, 2022 is being organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).
All forms of dance, culture, music, and food from all 16 regions were on display, along with some thrilling performances, as the Taste of Ghana festival kicked off in dazzling fashion.
Speaking at the sidelines of the festival, Mr. Yoofi Grant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIPC, was excited about the cultural bits on display from all the regions.
“For me, it is very exciting that we can organise this festival for free for Ghanaians to enable them to experience our rich culture.
“The aim is to replicate this festival in some of the regions, and I am delighted with this cross-cutting view of Ghanaian culture,” he said.
Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, in an interview, was elated about the turnout of the festival and believed it would provide some good memories for tourists.
“You can see the excitement around the place, and it offers us the opportunity to showcase our rich culture to the diaspora.
“We should have more fun on the second day of the festival with more cultural displays,” he said.
There were exciting performances from the Winneba Masquerades as well as music performances from Obrafour, Tinny, and Samini, among others.
The second-day of the festival promises lots of excitement with top Ghanaian artiste to perform on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022.
