New York., Dec 13, (tca/dpa/GNA) – Ronnie Turner’s cause of death has been revealed, days after the death of Ike and Tina Turner’s youngest son.
The 62-year-old musician succumbed to complications of metastatic colon carcinoma, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office told E! News.
Ronnie Turner, whose manner of death was deemed natural, also suffered from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in addition to colon cancer, the coroner’s office told the outlet.
Ronnie appeared in 1993’s “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” a biopic about his mother’s musical legacy, and notoriously abusive marriage at the hands of his father.
Ike Turner was 76 when he died on December 12, 2007, nearly 15 years to the day before his son died on December 8 of this year.
Tina Turner, 83, took to Instagram the following day to mourn her “beloved son,” noting he “left the world far too early.”
Turner’s tribute followed that of Ronnie’s wife, Afida, who remembered him as “a true angel” and her “best friend.
“I was your mummy, your nurse, your little monster,” she captioned photos of her late husband. “I did the best to the end. This time I was not able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very bad I am very mad.”
In 2018, Tina Turner also lost eldest son Craig, fathered by the late musician Raymond Hill, to suicide.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office, did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
