Eco Entrepreneurship Training Course for Young People Begins in Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria

Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria, Nov 21 (BTA/GNA) – A week-long eco entrepreneurship training course for young people began in the southern Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora on Monday, Trakia University’s public relations expert Nevena Dimitrova told BTA.

Specialists on the green transition and the bioeconomy will be working with university students, young scientists, start-up executives and entrepreneurs on subjects related to the integration of environmental protection, biodiversity and the circular economy into youth entrepreneurship; mentorship and incubation of eco business ideas; instruments for a systematic transition to green and sustainable growth at the local level; and working meetings, mentorship sessions and targeted analysis aimed at creating a model for a lasting inter-sectoral strategic, practical and knowledge process.

The training course is expected to build upon and highlight the contribution of micro and small enterprises to the overall process of creating an innovative regional business model centred on the circular economy, eco-innovation and entrepreneurship.

The course is being carried out under a programme called Environmental Policies for Young People, funded by the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Stara Zagora Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water.
