The Ad-Hoc Committee of Parliament probing the Minority Caucus’ motion calling for a vote of censure against Mr Ken Ofori-Atta,the Minister of Finance, has adjourned sitting to Friday, November 18, at 1000 hours.
Mr Ken Ofori-Atta requests 48 hours to prepare for response at the hearing
Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minister of Finance, has informed the Ad-Hoc Committee of Parliament probing the Minority Caucus’ call for a vote of censure against him that he will respond to the grounds of the motion on Friday, November 18.
Mr Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Counsel for Mr Ofori-Atta, informed the Ad-Hoc Committee that his client needs 48 hours to enable him prepare adequately for the hearing.
His application was subsequently granted by Co-Chairmen of the Committee – Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga East, for the Minority Caucus, and Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, MP for Adansi Asokwa, for the Majority Caucus.

Mr Ken Ofori-Atta arrives in Parliament House for censure motion hearing
Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minister of Finance, has arrived at the hearing of the Eight Member Bipartisan Ad-Hoc Committee set-up by the Speaker to investigate a motion filed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Minority Caucus calling for a vote of censure against him, alleging mismanagement of the economy.
The Committee is co-chaired by Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga East, for the Minority Caucus, and Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, MP for Adansi Asokwa, for the Majority Caucus.
