BTA Director General: Bulgaria’s Winter Season Message Could Be Holiday with No Restrictions

Bansko, Southern Bulgaria, Nov 10 (BTA/GNA) – Holiday with no restrictions and the wealth of celebrations could be the messages on the eve of the winter season in Bulgaria, BTA Director General Kiril Valchev said at the BG TOURISM – WINTER 2022/2023 forum in the mountain resort of Bansko on Thursday. Valchev opened the event which is organized by BTA.

The forum discusses prospects for Bulgarian tourism. This is the second edition of the BTA’s initiative for discussions to be held twice every year: at the beginning of the summer and winter tourist seasons, with representatives of state and municipal institutions, the tourism business, NGOs, academics and experts.

“Bulgaria’s message could be related to the fact that one can spend a holiday without restrictions here,” Valchev said, especially when there are talks about heating and water usage restrictions, among other limitations.

“Another message could be that life in Bulgaria translates into the many festivals and celebrations, including winter ones. Bulgaria’s message could be that, whenever you come to our country, somewhere, sooner or later, you will come across a celebration or you will come across live art, at least,” Valchev added.

“Bulgaria – Life & Health”, an expression often used by Bulgarians, was also proposed as a message.
