Sofia, Nov 3 (BTA/GNA) – President Rumen Radev and the visiting Ugandan Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Wilson Mbadi, Wednesday discussed ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the President’s press secretariat said.
Uganda plays a key role in peacekeeping in Africa and can count on Bulgaria’s support for its efforts, Radev said. The Ugandan Defence Forces are actively involved on peacekeeping missions in Africa. That country buys military equipment from Bulgaria, which also provides training programmes to its personnel.
The sides concurred that it is in the interest of security in Europe and Africa to further develop defence cooperation between the two countries by enhancing training opportunities and promoting interaction in space and aviation technology.
